PPS01 – Hybrid Molds and Tools for Customization and Production of Low and Medium Product Ranges.

The PPS 1 outputs comprise customized and modular productive molds and tools enabling the production of small and medium series of polymeric and/or metallic products at competitive costs. Within this PPS, four types of molds and tools (at least four new TRL7 products) will be produced, aligned with WP’s 2, 3, 4, and 24, namely:

• WP2 – Hybrid Mold with Molding Inserts for the Production of Polymeric Parts/Aluminum Alloys, through the Injection Molding Process, with Application in the Automotive Industry.
• WP3 – Hybrid Mold for the Production of High-Performance Polymeric Parts through the Injection Molding Process, with Application in the Water Heaters, Boilers, and Heat Pumps Industry.
• WP4 – Productive Tool Produced by Additive Manufacturing with the Incorporation of Monitoring Sensors Linked to Artificial Intelligence Mechanisms, Rendering the Productive Tool Recognized as an Intelligent Product.
• WP24 – Hybrid Molds with Additively Manufactured Inserts, Conformable Channels, Geometric Precision in the Order of 50 Microns, and Optimal Temperature Management.
