Luz Costa & Rodrigues Lda

LCR – Luz Costa & Rodrigues Lda is a family business that began its activity on January 15, 1965.

Since its establishment until the present day, the company has demonstrated to be a strong presence in the various markets it operates in.

It began its activity as a sawmill, but the way the market evolved led its partners to decide abandoning those services in 1993, in order to focus exclusively in the manufacture of profiles and seals for aluminum and wooden frames.

In 1994, LCR began diversifying its product line, developing the production of tubes for the automotive industry and for applications in the health sector.

In 1996, following the growth of the construction sector, the company responded to its needs and began manufacturing rigid profiles dedicated to this sector.

Aiming for the full satisfaction of its customers, through the quality of the products and services it offers, the company began implementing a Quality Management System in 1999, having obtained a certification in accordance with the standard NP EN ISO 9002: 1995, in the year 2000.

The company also began its partnership with some reputed brands in the international market, becoming representative in Portugal for FORTE’s products and starting to trade products such as shower panels, folding doors, internal and external PVC coverings, floating floors, among others.

More recently, the company decided to invest in a prior step in the value chain, by acquiring a new manufacturing facility to begin compounding thermoplastic materials and thus creating a novel brand called COBLEX.

In 2017, the company started a partnership with Universities and Polytechnics with the aim of innovating and creating value. The company invests in continuous research into new solutions and products that meet customer needs.
